Asexual Awareness Week is here to dispel myths, build community, diminish feelings of broken-ness and alienation, and help folks of all sexual orientations better understand asexuality and become better allies. Asexuality is incredibly misunderstood and under-represented, so this is a really great opportunity to read up and ask questions. AAW’s website has some awesome pamphlets you can view or download, some fantastic links to other resources, along with research and videos for your perusal.
You may be thinking, “Sex toys for asexual awareness week? What would an asexual person want with a sex toy?” In response, I 100% recommend reading this little FAQ on masturbation and asexuality. But when it comes down to it, some asexuals masturbate and some don’t; some engage in partnered sexual activities and some don’t; some use sex toys and others don’t. And so, here is a little round up of sex toys in the colors of the asexual flag: black, grey (er, silver?), white, and (a ton of) purple! Click an image for details.

In fact, the concept of sexual health seems to me of fundamental relevance to all aspects of prevention of sexually transmitted infections.
