Sex & Coffee staring Madison Young, Kimberly Kane, Danny Wylde, Maggie Mayhem, Bettina Doll and Maxine Holloway will take you on an erotic journey with Madison and her friends as they discuss the politics behind sexual performance in pornography and then manifest some of the most visceral passionate sex you have ever seen.
After the film screening,Madison Young, award-winning feminist pornographer, performer, educator, and writer, will facilitate a discussion about sex-positive pornography and the concept of radical pornography as a form of activism.
Madison will offer a multi-media presentation that walks through a timeline of feminists and activists working within the adult industry, from Annie Sprinkle, Nina Hartley, and Sharon Mitchell to the new feminist and queer pornographers of Tristan Taormino, Buck Angel, Shine Louise Houston, and Courtney Trouble.
Madison’s talk will explore the importance of archiving our sexual culture, the educational value of pornography, queer and alternative pornography as a do-it-yourself community-building tool, and the importance of celebrating sexuality amongst diverse bodies, genders, and elasticities. She will cover topics such as empowerment and consent around submission in BDSM pornography, the dichotomy of the term “feminist pornography,” and importance of redefining porn for our culture.
About Madison :
Madison Young is an international award-winning feminist porn star, performer, director, gallerist, artist, and new mom. She has been directing and performing in erotic films for nearly a decade and has won great acclaim for her video line, Madison Young Productions, and her network of erotic web sites, the Feminist Porn Network. She has been awarded multiple feminist porn awards including “Indie Porn Pioneer” of the year and has received numerous AVN nominations for her films. Her films have screened at film festivals through out the States, Europe, and Australia. Young, who has been called a “sex positive Tasmanian devil” values sexual education in her work and has taught workshops, lectures, and acted as a panelist on the topics of sexuality, feminism and pornography, and kink across the around the world including at Yale University and UC Berkeley. Her professional trajectory spans past performing in over a hundred adult films and directing 26 films for her own production company and includes her contributions to the art world. Madison Young has handled the artistic curation of over a hundred art exhibitions over the past decade for her non-profit arts organization, Femina Potens Art Gallery, as well as The National Queer Arts Festival, SOMARTS, The SF LGBT Center, and the Traveling Erotic Art Show. Her writings have been published in books such as “The Ultimate Guide to Kinky Sex”, “Baby Remember My Name”, Power Exchange , and In Soumises, published in France by Tabou Editions. Young’s work and views on feminism, sex and art appear in numerous documentaries including Real Sex for HBO, 1000 Ways to Die for Spike TV, Lesbian Sex; Pushing the Limits for Here TV!, Out and About featured on MTV’s LOGO channel, Deeper with Dave Navarro for the Independent Film Channel, and is currently being considered for her own documentary style reality show on the Sundance Channel.
