When people ask about the most powerful vibrators, we generally steer them toward the plug-ins: the Hitachi Magic Wand, Essential Wand or the Fairy Mini, or the rechargeable stuff: Fairy Wand Rechargable, Uma, Iris or Gigi. But what if you don’t want to be tethered to an electrical outlet, lug around a piece of heavy machinery, or spend over $100 on a vibrator?
To answer this question, we went through our inventory of battery-powered vibes and compared their intensities to figure out which ones offered decent power, portability, and cost-effectiveness. To our surprise, many of the smaller vibes were the most powerful! Check out the specs, in no particular order:
Turbo Bullet – $25
With eight speeds and a nubby jelly sleeve, this bullet vibe is awesomely versatile. It runs on 4 AA batteries and goes from a low-level buzz to a knock-your-socks-off vibration!
Ballistic Bullet – $12
Simple and affordable, this vibe has two strong speeds and easy push-button controls. Plus, you can switch out the bullet if it breaks because of its plug-in jack!
Colt Double Bullet – $26
Great for multi-tasking or playing with a friend, these two intense bullets have variable speeds, different patterns of vibration and are easily replaceable!
Butterfly Kiss – $16
Surprisingly powerful, this three-speed vibe is great for simultaneous innie and outie action! Waterproof too!
Insatiable G – $45
Wacky-looking, but incredibly awesome, this dual-action g-spot/clit vibe has two bullets, is made of a silicone blend, and has seven different intensities and vibe patterns to leave you breathless.
Double Tap – $12
Simply, ergonomically designed with a push-button control and a handle for easy thrusting, double tap is a no-frills powerhouse. Waterproof too!
So there you have it! Just keep in mind that the powerful vibes tend to be some of the loudest (with the exception of the Lelo vibes) so if you’re looking for discreet, you might want to look elsewhere… like, maybe, this blog entry!
